Quest Diagnostics Announces Senior Leadership Appointments

MADISON, N.J., Feb. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Quest Diagnostics Incorporated (NYSE: DGX), the world's leading provider of diagnostic information services, announced a series of senior leadership appointments designed to strengthen the management team as it executes the company's five-point business strategy.

John B. Haydon, Senior Vice President, Operations, has decided for family reasons to take a new position that requires less travel, and will transition to a new role as Vice President, Joint Ventures and Strategic Programs, reporting to Steve Rusckowski, President and CEO.  

James E. Davis, previously Senior Vice President, Diagnostic Solutions, will become Senior Vice President, Operations, succeeding Mr. Haydon. In addition to his operations role, Mr. Davis will continue to oversee Quest's two products businesses, Focus Diagnostics and Celera Diagnostics.

In addition, Lidia L. Fonseca will join Quest Diagnostics as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective April 2, 2014. She will report to both Mr. Rusckowski and Mr. Davis and become a member of the company's Senior Management Team.

Ms. Fonseca previously was the Chief Information Officer at LabCorp and held a number of senior leadership positions in supply chain and IT at Philips Healthcare.

She earned a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA and a Master of Business Informatics from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus Graduate School of Business.
