Diagnostic Information Services
Quest Diagnostics offers physicians the broadest test menu of any diagnostic laboratory, with more than 3,000 tests, and is a pioneer in developing innovative new diagnostic testing services and products.
We offer the most extensive clinical testing network in the United States, operating laboratories in most major metropolitan areas. Outside the U.S. we maintain testing facilities in Mexico and India, and we provide clinical trials testing in Argentina, Brazil, China and Singapore through affiliated laboratories.
Our extensive test menu includes routine biological testing; complex and specialized molecular and gene-based testing, and anatomic pathology testing. These services primarily help identify disease or risk factors for disease and predict and monitor response to treatment. We conduct complex and specialized testing, including molecular and gene-based diagnostics, primarily in our world renowned Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute, Focus Diagnostics Reference Laboratory and Athena Diagnostics facilities.
We aim to develop and offer diagnostic information services that help physicians manage patients along a disease’s continuum of care. Our services are used by physicians across dozens of clinical areas, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, prescription drug monitoring, health and wellness, infectious disease, neurology and women’s health.
Our laboratories operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and touch the lives of patients more than 147 million times each year. Patients may have their specimens collected at their physician’s office or in any of our approximately 2,100 conveniently located patient service centers. We maintain a robust logistics operation that includes courier vehicles and aircraft that collectively make tens of thousands of stops daily in order to collect and deliver specimens to our laboratories for testing.
Clinical Trials
Quest Diagnostics is a world leader in supporting clinical trials of new pharmaceuticals and companion diagnostics. We provide clinical trials through our advanced clinical laboratories in the United States and internationally through affiliated laboratories in Argentina, Brazil, China and Singapore as well as our own laboratory in India.
