We're number one! In people failing drugs test for weed! According to a report from the Drug Testing Index, Oregon has a higher percentage of workplace drug tests that are positive for marijuana than any other state in the country. Feeling proud? You're about to feel prouder because this is the third year in a row that Oregon has achieved this honor. According to the Quest index, culled from more than 10 million drug tests administered at workplaces throughout the country, a whopping 4.64 percent of Oregon's workplace drug tests in 2017 were positive for pot. That's up from 2016's 4.5 percent and 2015's 3.43 percent.

Secaucus-based Quest Diagnostics has acquired the outreach laboratory services operations of Marin General Hospital, it announced Thursday. The deal, Quest said, will enhance its delivery of diagnostic information services, like an enhanced test menu, to communities in Marin County, California.

Marshall County Prosecutor, Chipman is sworn to uphold the law, even the federal ban on marijuana as a Schedule 1 drug and Indiana's reluctance in legislating medical marijuana for Hoosiers. In 2017, 1.9 percent of Indiana workers tested positive for marijuana, although some northeast and southwest pockets are as high as 3.1 percent, according to the annual Quest Diagnostics Drug Testing Index. The national rate is 2 percent, with Michigan at 2.8 percent, Illinois and Kentucky at 2.1 percent and Ohio at 1.9 percent.

Quest Diagnostics this week announced it is acquiring the outreach laboratory services of Marin General Hospital located in Greenbrae, California. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter. No other details were disclosed.
